Nanaimo

Nanaimo is the village of Vancouver Island. I'm staying in Nanaimo now.
Nanaimo is the countryside, so I can see the shiny green of the trees and beautiful flowers whenever I go.
There are a few people, of course it isn't crowded.
In addition, almost all people are very kind. They don't hesitate to greet with each other, so they do that with someone who is a stranger.

By the way, Nanaimo means the meeting place. I think it's fit for the origin of this area, because there are many immigrants. They sometimes study English together and they help each other. I guess... people often feel lonely in the modern society, so it's good for them.

  1. Be careful about your translation. Nanaimo is bigger than a village. It is a city.
And it may feel like the countryside, but it is not, except for parts of it.

I like how you describe Nanaimo. You make a good use of vocabulary. You have good expression in English.
